What happens if they had transmitted a tournament golf and nobody showed up to advertise IT?

Saturday, for its broadcast of the Nationwide Tour Albertsons Boise Open, the golf channel is trying something new: the round without any announcers is spreading.

Oh, there will be some interviewers by lado.Pero there will be no Narrator, no analyst, nobody in the Tower long hole 17, not reporters in progress at the end of the groups and call to action.

The network is calling it "announcer." liteJerry Foltz will introduce the broadcast, and then he and Curt Byrum will focus on tweeting and e-mailing them with viewers. Kay Cockerill, Stephanie Sparks and Phil Parkin carried out interviews with players.

But no one will call to action.Instead, what you hear predominantly spectators are the sounds of the game: caddie player, whoosh and thwack clubs, the reactions of the multitud.Departamento graphics network chat you get serious about helping to explain what is happening on the information on-screen training.

It is an interesting experiment. And as one thing at once, almost certainly boost the classifications as golfers tune to see what an announcerless golf make sounds like.

This has been done before in other sports.I remember an NFL game since the beginning of the 80.Delfines... on NBC, creo.Recuerdo which was quite boring.

Viewers love sports to hate the advertisers. even more, we like to think that we could do a better trabajo.Pero Saturday experiment the Golf Channel is likely that the majority of viewers, I'm guessing, appreciate stations that really explain what is happening and to fill in all the time when nothing is happening.

Nationwide Tour Albertsons Boise Open - sans announcers - broadcast Saturday on the Golf Channel 4: 30-7 p.m. Eastern time.
